Tip line
A private address anyone at your company can email news to, plus in-app tips. How tips are reviewed and used.
The tip line lets anyone at your company send news to the paper: a customer compliment, a new hire, a milestone a tool wouldn’t know about. Every workspace gets a private address:
tips-<your-workspace>@in.paperbeam.ai
Find yours at Tips. Members with the contributor role or above can also submit a tip in the app (10 to 5,000 characters).
How tips are used
- New tips arrive as pending. Every pending tip is read by the next company edition, alongside your other sources.
- Tips go through the same pipeline as everything else: instruction-like text is stripped, facts are extracted, and every story is verified. A tip becomes a story only if it is newsworthy and fits an enabled section, for example Team News.
- After the edition is delivered, the tips it read are marked used.
- Tips feed the company edition only, not department editions.
Reviewing tips
Editors see every tip and can filter by status. Contributors see only their own.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Will be read by the next company edition. |
| Used | Already read by an edition. Marking a tip used by hand also keeps it out of future editions. |
| Held | Kept for later and not read by editions. Reopen it to make it pending again. |
| Declined | Won’t run. |
